Polaroid Workshop: Emulsion Lift @ The Photographers' Gallery

To coincide with the exhibition Instant Stories. Wim Wenders' Polaroids, photographer Rhiannon Adam leads a practical workshop experimenting with the medium of the Polaroid. Using the emulsion lift process, a classic technique where the image is peeled apart from the film and transferred to another surface, join your images with others to create a group collage work.

Rhiannon Adam was born in Co. Cork, Ireland and lives and works in London. She studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (London), and the University of Cambridge. Her work is primarily concerned with myth, nostalgia and the passage of time. In 2015, Adam spent 3 months on Pitcairn Island, creating a documentary photography project and Radio 4 programme. Her book, Polaroid: The Missing Manual, The Complete Creative Guide, is published by Thames and Hudson in Autumn 2017.
